Blairstown Station

History of Blairstown Station

Blairstown Station is a station in Blairstown, NJ and is one of three stations along the Lackawanna Cutoff. Blairstown Station is the only different station between Johnsonburg and Greendell, as it features different windows, and is larger in size. Just behind the station, a freight house is also present.

Blairstown Station opened on December 23, 1911 and the station closed on January 4, 1970, which makes it the longest open station along the Cut-Off. The station was also a stop for the Lackawanna's Phoebe Snow.

After the station closed in 1970, the building was reoccupied in 1973 for the WFMV-FM Radio Station which operated on channel 106.3. The radio station left Blairstown between 1991 and 1996. The station has since housed a few other businesses, and today is owned by a CrossFit business under the name of "Blairstown Station CrossFit"
